Hey all, so this is the deal.

My boyfriend and I are thinking about a 3 month miniumun tour acroos Europe and the UK. Starting in London, then touring the rest of the Uk plus Ireland for about a month, then hitting up AT LEAST France, Belguim, the Netherlands, Germany, Finland, Norway, Sweeden, Italy and Greece. So here's what i've come up with for travel costs.... (all prices are per person in CND dollars)

Flight = $400 roughly
Uk rail pass = $600 roughly
Eurail flexi all contry pass dealie = $1,500 roughly

So that's a total of $2, 500 per person for travel costs ONLY, that's not including daily expenses and budgets.

Am I way off with this marker>? Have a missed something>? Am I doing something wrong>? This just seems a little steep to my poor ass, but maybe it's just me......a little help, advice, a shove in the right direction would be great! thanks in advance guys!

I think you've missed hostels, unless you don't count that among travel expenses

You are pretty close on the Britrail pass. This covers England and Wales. I think mine was like $ 483.00 I used it to get from London to Harwich. It was my worst investment. I was only traveling around for 2 weeks. I flew into Ireland then from Dublin I flew to London ( 15 Euro a person ) then we trained and ferried to Amsterdam. From there we did Eurail everywhere else. Other expenses to plan for. If you are taking any night trains and want to sleep in a couchette it is about 5 - 13 Euro for a reservation. Otherwise you will ride sitting up all night. This never happened to me, but I was traveling in the off season. Go to www.raileurope.com for correct pricing on Railways. As far as a daily budget that depends on all you want to do. If you stay in hostels in the dorm like rooms that may be cheaper. I traveled in style and really didn't "rough" it and spent around $ 2500 . In 2 weeks and I stayed in private rooms, couhettes, ate everything I wanted and bought stuff for myself. I did all of this in USD and Euro. London is more expensive spend as little time there as possible. There is a lot to see, but it is costly!!! Have fun I am sorry if I wasn't much help.
