Hi i've recently got into traveling and really want to go new places, meet new people, and experiance new cultures. Being from the Uk, i want to plan a trip round Europe. Problem is, im not sure when to go..., I finish my A levels this year and am going on an adventure "holiday" to Corsica (late July) with a group from my school. I will start University in late September this year, I was wondering is there time to travel round europe from the start of August to late September ?. Money should not really be a problem as ive saved up loads from working the past year and not spent any. If i dont go travelling now then when do i go ?. In the break from 1 university term to the next (about 2 months) where ill be bogged down with school work and have to get a job to pay for the next year of university ?, or when i leave university in 3 years having to pay off about £4000 - £5000 in loans and needing to get a job ?.

Is it me or is this my only time to go travelling ?
Thanks for your help, sorry for posting in wrong section, only just realised.

I'm dealing with sort of the same problem, and I'm leaning towards taking time off to travel. By all means if you can go in Aug-Sep before you start university, do that, so then you won't have to take the time off. You can see a good amount of Europe in 2 months if you really want.

If it were me and I lived that close the rest of Europe, I'd take out loans to pay for Uni and then slowly see the mainland. Say, if you have 2 months for each break, see one country per month. This would help in a number of ways. First: You wouldn't get overwhelmed by trying to see too much in too little time. Second, you'd get a better feel for the countries that you're visiting and get a better understanding of their cultures. You have the rest of your life to work but you have an opportunity right now that you shouldn't pass up. That's what student loans are for anyway. Have fun, I envy you.

I have to agree! Since you live so close to Europe, it should be relatively easy to do 1-2 month stints sporadically. I'd definitely go this summer as well, especially if money won't be too big of an issue. Two months should really give you a good feel for what's out there and then you can kind of narrow down where you'd like to spend more time. Good luck!
