Really it depends on what you're interested in also the top 10 are only of places I have been to but here is mine in no real order mine:

Berlin:What can be said about Berlin for a city it has everything you want or need great night life history culture all rolled into one.

Leipzig:A good day trip from Berlin with so much beauty-check out the Nickoli Kirche.

Brussels:Brussels looses points as it is bloody expensive but hey its worth it if you've never been because well, there is no country quite as wacky as Belgium.

Brugge:Go to the Stofa pub and eat seafood-good times, great memories.

Doncaster,UK:There is absolutely nothing of any tourist value here but I love going to see shows and to see friends.

Cardiff: My best friend is from near here so I am biased but the city is quite lovely-other good Welsh places are Brecon see the beacons there.

Edinburgh- Nice palace and a great place to learn about Scotland.

Wroclaw-Although my experiences in Poland were...unfortunate I have to admit that Wroclaw is a nice town with a very nice Rynek (town square)

Jura: The Jura region is great in France so mountainous they do a great white wine and you can make a day trip into Geneva

Toronto: Its where my family is and I love coming home to visit to them.

Can't speak for places I've never been... but for places I have been...

best sites

1. Ruins of Palmyra, Syria
2. Blue Mosque, Istanbul
3. Great Mosque (Ummayad Mosque) & Old City, Damascus
4. Jade Mountains, Hwangshan, China
5. St. Peters, Vatican City
6. Sangrata Familia, Barcelona
7. Michaelangelo's David, Florence
8. Krek de Chevaliers, Syria
... hmm that's all I can think of that really took my breath away.

best experiences

1. riding the slow night ferry from athens to ios, and seeing the blood moon set
2. sitting around and talking to other backpackers
3. chillin at a waterpipe shop in a Turkish village, where they have never seen an asian person before
4. partying until daybreak, taking a nap, and then doing it all again in Ios
5. having a drinking contest with University of Munich students... and losing badly.
6. touching down at the beginning of the trip... and thinking "wow i am finally here."
7. the moment that the 2nd rocket goes off during the running of the bulls, and feeling a wave of energy go through the crowd
8. partying with spanish girls
9. hearing the call to prayer while on the moutainside overlooking the town in Turkey
10. watching the sun set in the Syrian desert

yay... now I have warm memories.
