Thumbs up

I am going to be studying for a semester at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow Scotland. I also plan to do a good bit of travel while i am in Europe for the first time. What are somethings that I shouldn't miss?
Thanks

The train.

(Thank you, thank you.. I'm here all week.)

There are probably dozens of threads on this topic scattered throughout the TP boards... if I had more time, I'd link them up, but it'd really do you some good to just browse through the boards (especially the regional ones) to find various rants and raves about places... One main thing is what are you looking for? Can't miss party places? Can't miss old-world architecture? There are probably a thousand things folks on TP will recommend that half of us would agree are can't-miss and the other half would think are tripe.

Off the top of my head: UK music festivals, the catacombs in Paris, Glendalough in Ireland, all the crazy architecture in Barcelona, biking the Dutch countryside - just some of the things I won't ever be able to get out of my mind.

While in Scotland, definitely get to the Hebrides and highlands. The western part of Scotland was my favorite...Mull and Skye were my two tops.
