I know that most of the peps here can not afford to Buy a Diamond ring in the Netherlands, or a Suit from HArrods in London, but there are really cheap ways to keep tokens of your trip.

a few tips for cheap souvenirs:

1. Your passport stamps, I love to look at my passport stamps from the countires I have been to, they remind me so much of my trips. When your traveling through EU countries, you may not have to cross a border check point, so visit the airport if you can and see if they will stamp it for you. But most other countires in the world you will have to check in. I do know in Litchienstien you can get it stamped at the post office.

2.Money, paper bills or coins are always fun to collect on you adventures, again with the euro this has changed a bit but the concept remains the same.

3. Stamps, available at any post office and for mere pennies

4. Post Cards, should not be more than a dollar in most places ( except at that cart in Paris where i got ripped off)

5. This was the one that I did, Flag Stickers, about 1.50$ to buy and I stuck them on my journal I kept with me.

6. You know the signs when you enter a city that say the city name, take a picture with you beside it at all the cities you visit.

Just a couple of cheap ideas, because let me tell ya, I am the KING of cheap!!!

:D

Passport stamps: He dies dies with the most stamps, wins! Thats my travel philosophy, anyway.

I always go for keychains, bottle openers, and magnets. You can get them for like 6 for $5 (or cheaper). Sure your friends have bottle openers, but do they have one from Europe? Keychains they´ll use daily. Megnets, no surprise there. Everyone uses kitchen magnets :D

Another cool and free souvenir is: everytime you go into a pub, grab as many different kinds of coasters from different countries as you can. They´re cool, they´re unique, and every brand of beer has one. It´ll be a nice little international collection that you can start, and will cost you nothing.

Throw them in your journal and buy a cheap photo album to put them in when you get home .
