I'm travelling overseas for awhile, mainly in the UK. What are the best options for making calls home (to keep in touch with my sweetie).

Are there any websites that compare prices?

And what kind of plan works best for calling from the UK to the US, say three times a week for an hour (max) apiece.

I found when I was in Europe that phone cards are your best bet for calling home, but be carful and do your research on the ones you get cause some are great deals and some are not. Some will charge you fees if you use payphones so use the phone in your hotel opr hostel. These cards are available in corner stores and tourist shops everywhere....you wiull be happy u used them when you get home and you don't get killed with a mega phone bill!!! These cards are usally in 5, 10 and 20 Euro or pounds....Stores will have a poster that will have all the rates, read the fine print for added survharges..thats where they get ya!!! Good Luck!
