Hey all, has anyone taken last minute flights at the airport. I was thinking this was my cheap way too go I remeber seeing a booth that would advertise all these flights for like 400 buxks but they all left in 2 hours or so. I was thinking about staying at my sisters in Vancouver and just calling the airport everyday asking "do you have any lsat minute flights too Oz today ??? How much is that ??? Ok be there in half hour" this is my way too "get there" anyone done this before ? Does it work and is it cheap ?

I can't speak for every airline, country or airport. However, the web has pretty much taken over that segment of travel. You will find a better deal surfing I think than camping out.

...plus, I think there is one called Lastminutetravel.com.

You can also sign on for an e-mail newsletter from each airline and they'll send you their last minute specials on a weekly or even more frequent basis...
