Default 14 hour lay over in Dallas Texas

I will be going to Japan in about a month. On the return flight I will be having a crazy long 14 hour lay over at DFW - (Dallas - Fort Worth airport). By far my longest lay over ever, but the plane ticket was so cheap, the long lay over is worth it. Never been to DFW before, so it is a total un-known to me.

My questions are: Anyone have a suggestion of a good way to kill some time at / around DFW?

Can anyone give me some tips about DFW itself?

Bad parts: it is an overnight lay over, so not much will be open.
Flight leaves DFW at 7 a.m., so no late night good times - .
In addition, it is at the end of an expensive trip & I don't think i'll have much money left to work with. Might not even be able to afford a hotel. According to hostelworld.com, no hostels in the area & hotels at the airport are expensive. I might have to find a place to crash for the night inside the airport, if possible.....

Any thoughts???

DFW is huge. Good news is all the terminals are connected by a monorail so you can at least have a variety. There are probably a couple food places open til 11 or midnight, but not sure about later than that. It has been probably 3 years since I have been through there. I know you can probably at least find a place to sleep for the night.

Sorry no tips on anything fun. As far as I know the airport is a decent distance from the city.
