Hey Guys,

Now I know this is kinda dumb but I have to let it out... I've travelled to many places all over the world... most (if not all of which included flying) but for some reason I'm getting really really nervous about my flight to London which is happening in 12 days... I have no clue why I'm suddenly afraid of flying but I am.... you guys got any tips ( that I may have not heard or told someone who was afraid of flying in my post fear years) I guess if the plane goes down it goes down... not much you can do about it...

I think the worst part about this is I pretty much know that once I sit down in the plane i'll be fine... it's the lead up to the flight which is the worst... so I can't even take drugs to stop it... well I can take drugs... haha but it'd be a good two week bender I'd have to do to make it to the departure date.

hey, i always eat pot brownies before i travel - they last hours and really knock your ass out... just be sure to make them at home as opposed to buying them from amsterdam.

This might help.

Ever been strunk by lightning?

Ever been afraid of being struck by lightning?

Cuz there's more to worry about there(statistically) than a plane flight.

Hope I've helped

I get that twinge of uneasiness too just as the plane is taking off, something about being stuck in a large hunk of metal that I dislike. But then I think about how many commercial airline flights occur daily in this country and how many crashes there have been. The last one I remember hearing about was an Alaskan airlines flight that went down 4 years ago. That thought process takes about 10 seconds and then I'm good to go.

Lol at Joan and her Pot fixation.......Of course what did I just come back from buying Seriously though, as far as the flying is concerned I am terified of it too. I've been only on about 6 flights all time, and all only an hour or too for my old companies regional meetings.....I am thinking about going to see my doctor because some one tipped me off to pills they'll give you to pretty much relax you to the point of "la-la" land...Only thing about that is I'd really like to be about my witts when I land 'cuz i'll have to catch like 4 different undergrounds to get to my hostel......But, yeah, i here ya'......

I think JW hit the nail on the head. The way I look at it, Molson Girl, is this:

You take a bigger risk, deciding NOT to go, and driving your car around town. Honestly. I have a statistically greater chance of dying driving to work every day than I do being killed on an airplane.

Morbid thoughts, I know, but who knows? Thinking this way might help...

What is that book actually about? Cliff Notes version please?

I never understood peoples' fear of flying. Odd.

have you actually read it, v? it's hardly ulysses, you know...

i thought that it expressed, wonderfully, the kind of animal sexuality that we all carry within us - (sorry sij.) despite lovers/husbands/wives... we are still just sexual individuals... that's what i got??

I have the same problem... I get really anxious and my body shakes when I have to fly. But I think It's normal... It doesn't stop me of flying. Last time I took a fly to Recife my friend didn't stop singing am horrible hip hop song from Ludracris i think... It was something like that: Move bitch get out the way, get out the way... And he was dancing on the plane... I laughed so hard that when I noticed I was in Recife...
I bought Ludacris' CD after that!
