Vaccines and malaria meds are almost always an individual choice (outside of some very high-risk regions). At the minimum you'll probably want to have a tetanus booster if you haven't had one in 10 years, but besides that it's up in the air. The travel.state.gov website tends to take a VERY paranoid view when they make their travel recommedations.
I've traveled to India several times and aside from the first trip I haven't taken any malaria medication, instead relying upon bug juice and covering up. The risk of malaria is probably lower in Morocco than (most of) India due to the more arid climate, but as I said before,
it's a personal choice and I am in no way recommending that you don't need to take the meds. I weighed the pros and cons and made my decision based on that.
I hope this helps.
