so how do the train lockers work? do you put a few euro in and you get a key? Do they automatically pop open after a certain time? Is is easier and worth the cash to leave it with the luggage guy? For example, I will have my full pack with me when I go to see the D-Day stuff but I want to leave my pack in the train station in Bayeux. Please explain a typical situation and anything else about the nuiances of using the train lockers.

Wink

ugh. train lockers. hehe

there are different types, but generally you put money in and get a key or a code or something. Then you come back and you often have to pay more money to get your stuff out (depending on how long you've left it there). But if you leave it too long, they will open (some are 72 hours, some are up to 7 days).

If you have a huge bag, you should leave it at left luggage. I think here in the Netherlands it's about 5 euros a day.

ciao,
jeni
