Read an article today on Yahoo about the 7 wonders in architecture a Conde Nast Traveler named, check it out if you like.

Anyway, here they are:

1. Cumulus, an exhibit hall at Danfoss Universe, a science and technology museum in Nordborg, Denmark.

2. Burj Dubai, the world's tallest building which is apparently under construction in the Middle East.

3. London's Wembley Stadium

4. New Museum of Contemporary Art in Manhattan

5. Kogod Courtyard, Smithsonian Institution, Washington D.C.

6. Red Ribbon, Tanghe River Park, in Qinhuangdao, China

7. The Crystal, a controversial new entryway and exhibit space at Toronto's Royal Ontario Museum


So I dunno about the rest of you, but that was kind of disappointing... I think there's better architecture than that. I dunno, what do you think?

I'm lazy and didn't read the article for the criteria, but I definitely think the dancing house in Praha should be on it.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Kogod Courtyard (and all the people who WALKED THROUGH THE INDOOR WATER FOUNTAIN when Nicole and I were tehre) but it's not breathtaking. Cumulus is cool. Red Ribbon is pretty but is it a wonder? More Frank Lloyd Wright please!

The Millau bridge in France is pretty impressive.

I thought New Yorks architecture overall was fairly impressive, especially the older buildings.
