hey,
i was looking at some cheap flights from london to ireland and the best deal i found was from bristol to belfast. my question is how far from london is bristol and what is the best way to get there?
also if i book this flight, can i do ireland in about four days flying in and out of belfast?

any more opinions on belfast would help too.

thanks,
metalsign

London to Bristol is 190km or 118 miles, about 2 hours drive by car. Which in the big scope is not that bad...unfortunaty I don't think your driving, hitching this portion of your trip might be an option.

You can take a bus fromVictoria St. Stn. in Central London. looks like National Express has buses leaving, 2 every hour for the rush hour, and one every hour after that. The travel time is about 3 hours and you will be dropped off at BRISTOL, Marlborough Street bus station, Avon

Hope that helps ya some, oh and the cost was about 10£ ( I think if you book online, you might save a few pounds National Express UK. )

And Metalsign,

Ello!
This is my neck of the woods in the UK...!

National Express are pretty reliable, but the M4 which is the route they take can get really busy around either 7:30am-9:00am or 5:00pm-7:00pm as its the rush hour and its the main business route to London for the whole of the South.. so you might have to add an hour or so on at these times.

You can get some good deals on the train, but better to book in advance for whats called an Apex Super Saver - its only at certain times, but pretty good value for money.

Hope it helps!

xx
