I have kind of a dumb question. Will absinthe make you piss hot on a drug test? I have never taken the stuff before and I will be travelling to Eastern Europe in September. I receive regular piss tests and do not want to jepordize my carrer. Can someone please help me out??

I do not believe thujone (the banned ingredient in absinthe) is tested for in most (or any) drug tests.

The greater question, and please forgive me if you consider this too personal...if you are receiving regular urine drug screens, are you allowed to travel internationally?

I am in the army, going on leave from Afghanistan. I will be spending about 2 weeks in Eastern Europe with one of my buddies.

Appparently not according to a friend I called.

I've drank it on several occasions, so, FTR, it really isn't a hallucingen per se, it makes you extremely drunk, yet you can think very, very clearly.... and then everything kinda just goes wa-wa-wa-wa-wa.... :D

yeah make sure you get some kind of art out of the experience cause the ripping headache the next day is cause part of your cerebral cortex was disentegrated by the thujone.

Don't worry about it mate i have drunk absinthe and 2 days later i got piss tested and it didn't show up at all.

I had some imported from the Czech Republic and it was very good stuff. It came in a lovely flask as well. It will get you toasted very quickly, but your thought processes aren't as inhibited. Expensive though.

I make absinthe at home. I have friends who for various reasons get tested regularly or on a suprise UA. They have never had a problem with tujone kicking off anything.

I've got a different question regarding the green fella.... My boyfriend wants me to bring him some back from my trip (I plan on buying him a really tiny souvenier bottle...) but the thing is I'll be flying Prague-Cork, Dublin-Paris with Ryanair and Aerlingus... do you guys know if it's okay to have that in my lugagge when I enter Ireland and France??

I've heard people to have good luck with using mouthwash bottles. That's just something I read though.
