For those that are interested, Sir Edmund Hillary died today at age 88.

i only just heard it on the news.
Sir Ed grew up just down the road from me...ok, so it was about 10mins down the road haha tuakau and Drury are reasonably close tho, and i was taught how to swim at the Edmund Hillary primary school in papakura, except, i still cant swim.lol
he was awesome for his aid and charity work in nepal, and even locally, i remember seeing him at my country primary school doing a talk once...as for his adventure and exploriation,theres been loads written about that. he was amazing!
