Jet Lag Study in NYC
I got this in my inbox from a clinical lab place I signed up for. I'd totally sign on for it if I wasn't in Hawaii!
A new research study for jet lag is currently being conducted at Clinilabs, Inc. We're looking for healthy male and female volunteers between the ages of 18-65 to participate in a clinical research study of an investigational medication to see if it will help jet lag. This investigational medication is FDA-approved for other sleep-related disorders. You may qualify to enroll if you have experienced excessive sleepiness due to jet lag in the past.
Qualified participants will be flown in a small chartered jet to France and back, and will remain at the study center in France for the duration of the study. There will be no opportunity to leave the facility or tour around France before returning home. You will travel during the fall and have the opportunity to choose among various travel dates. You must have a valid U.S. passport that will not expire for at least 6 months following your participation.
There are two screening visits for this study which will occur within seven weeks. The second screening visit involves an overnight stay at Clinilabs midtown Manhattan facility. If you qualify for study participation following the second screening visit, you will have a third study visit in Manhattan on the day you are scheduled to travel to France. If your health status and other requirements have not changed, you will be transported to the airport that same day. You will fly to France and spend 4 days and 3 nights at a study center. When you arrive back home, you'll go to our Manhattan facility for a final assessment before going home that same day. Qualified participants will receive $2,500 for completing the study. All travel expenses are at no cost to you.
If you would like more information about this program, please call 1.877.978.8393 or visit http://www.jetlagstudy.net.
By making the decision to seek eligibility for one of our trials, you join a large group of people who may contribute to real advances in medical research. We look forward to speaking with you!
Sincerely,

Hell yeah, I'd do it just to get to fly in a private jet like some rich mogul!
A small jet that can make it from NYC to France would have to be something pretty sweet like a gulfstream V...

that would be RIDICULOUS. I like the part about

like they're specifically talking about us and knowing we'd do anything to get a flight to Europe for free...
