Ok is anyone familiar with The Southwestern Co.?
Im going to be working with them this summer. They work with only college kids and they have been doing it for 150 years. The average student makes $8,000 but you have to work like 80+ hours a week and 6 days a week. You get paid commision, so you're not guarenteed anything. You get college fredit for sales and marketing classes. You reloacted to somewhere else for the entire summer and you stay with a host family. The Clemson (South Carolina) team is either going to Minnisota, Colorodo, or Utah. We leave a week after school and get back a week before school.
Its about as far from the average summer job as you can get. But the experience, knowledge, and obviously the money is well above what the "Average" college kid will gain this summer. The money isnt a driving force or a motive but it defianlty is a Plus
The company works worldwide and deals with about 3,000 students each summer and does about 60 million dollars in sales each summer. Each student goes door to door. We sell student handbooks, SAT preps, and a whole mutlitude of education products. The alumni list consists of multiple senators and multiple governeors like the govenor of Mississppi and Texas. The products are widely used and arent cheap. They've been doing it for 150 years and they havent surived that long off of bad ethics and crappy products. Each product has won multiple awards. They been on everything from the Dave Ramsey Show to The Today Show.
Im really looking forward to it. The record first year dealer made a cash profit of $42,000 in the 3 months of selling. Im going to break it
(uhhh i hope haha)
Plus, i will be able tyo travel more with a little extra cash
uhhhh so back to my question haha, Is anyone familiar with the Southwestern Co.?
