as most of you know my gf and i will be in europe this summer, we are going to spend 3 weeks traveling for a business class then backpacking but we are going to have very different types of clothing for the two parts of the trip. we need business casual dress for the first part then for the backpacking part, i dont' really care, i just want to be comfortable. here are my options

take a SMALL suitcase for the first leg and bring my backpack for the second part of the trip then ship the suitcase #1, home (probably ridiculously expensive) or #2 to family in Edinburgh and bring it with me through ireland then home, or

find a way to ship it from berlin to Shannon ireland and have it stored somehow until i get ready to leave

or
ANYTHING YOU CAN THINK OF THATS CHEAPER/EASIER!
you guys are the smart ones. let me know what to do.

thanks

are you talking about having to wear a suit? Realistically you could pack a suit and just get it dry cleaned when you arrive to get rid of the creases etc

I don't have a lot of experience with this but it sounds like sending it to the family might be a good idea. You could also try storing the small suitcase at a train station you could get back to. Someone on the board did that in Russia, but I can't remember who.

Id bring your suit bag and your backpack, then ship the dress clothes home when you are done... and leave the backpack in a locker somewhere until you need it.

Yeah, just post your clothes home when you're finished with them, it will cost a bit if you are posting a heap of clothes back, but meh, what can you do. Your biggest challenge will be finding a postoffice employee that speaks english.
