sorry i assumed..
National Outdoor Leadership School is the premier outdoor ed school in the country. Born out of a desire for a better program than outward bound offered. They have all kinds of semesters all over the world or just a couple week trips. When you are finished with a NOLS trip you know everything you need to know to lead one basically.
They are the smartest when it comes to group behaviour on expeditions and minimilast packing for backpacking. so pretty much they are awesome. Just about every uni in the states that offers a Outdoor Education degree has some part of NOLS incorporated. They were a big part of getting the LNT (leave no trace) program started and are awesome.
They also have a kick-ass Wilderness Medicine Institute that is a pre-req for most OED degrees and turning into a requirement for most Park Ranger type jobs too.
So basically if you havent looked into
NOLS You should.
Outward Bound is pretty good too but in the states it's known as a poor mans nols.
