so as a few know i had a job teaching english to a four year old boy, Agoston, and i did something awful i told him i was coming back in January. Anyway's i had an email from his dad yesterday and i feel so sad i dont know how to tell them im not coming back...any suggestions?

I am assuming this was while you were in hungary? So the only thing I can think of is to say you had something come up that prevents you from going back and you are greatly saddened by the effect.

and maybe send the little boy a tiny gift or something. Like a book in English or a colouring book. a goodbye gift of sorts, without actually saying goodbye. Little kids are confused by goodbyes anyways. When I left my four year old nephew at home he asked when I was coming back so I said "later" and he said ok and ran off to play.

But ya, what sujuki said is good in term of the parents.

maybeeee you could go and visit him anyways! haha, with all the cheap tickets out there it should be cheap to get there(maybe 200 pounds?) besides, think about how happy he'll be!!!!
