Hi all - so I applied to this alternative journalism program at northwestern. Supposed to hear by this Friday. Not even sure I want to participate in the program. I think it wouldn't hurt to go, if I were accepted, since it might help me develop other aspects of my writing. I don't think I have a big chance of getting in since there are more than 2K applicants for 10 spots, and I don't have journalistic background. So even though it's not a big deal for me one way or the other, I find myself anticipating the big day, Friday!

I'm completely fine working on my Novel manuscript and travel memoirs, yet a little part of my ego seems to count on this summer program thingy as external validation of my writing...
we'll see!
