I think the Burning Man people have the best term for it - "Decompression." Dunno about where everyone else lives, but for weeks after the Burn, people around here have Decompression parties - ya know, for those who just can't let go.
I personally have my own post-travel decompression habits. I'll go to shops and buy all sorts of funky foods, wines, beers, etc. that I got while traveling, as well as wearing all the clothes I've picked up overseas. Call it denial. Call it an inability to let go... right now I have enough Spanish wine & cheese stocked up to open my own little Catalan cafe!
