Nice! I wish I could go to a beer competition...
This should make for an interesting story regardless if you win or not. I say you go to Brussels anyway! Keep us posted!
I am not a hufe fan of Labatts because I feel like this the next morning:
:greenguy:
But for a free trip to Europe I could definately work it out!
Good luck!

Weird. i've never heard of these. so what do you have to do? drink as much LaBatt that you can before the other guy? in that case, you might need to refer back to this post.
oh and, GOOD LUCK!

Well, MG, you see...these big beer companies have files on everyone. They know who drinks their beer and who doesn't (tracking devices concealed in the cap and the neck (so they know when it separates).
So, anyway, doubtless some corporate spy at Labatts knows your screen name on TP is MOLSON girl...
So there you are...

Hmmm they are a clever bunch... good thing Molson hasn't figured out that I'm actually a die hard Keiths fan now... I'll still drink Molson as a second choice... but if you're gonna get to my heart it's Keiths.

Hey guys. The competion was awesome.
Sorry to disapoint everyone, but it wasn't a beer drinking contest. even though i had all i could drink beer for free, it was a bartenders competition. I had to know and do the following things;
- know all about lagers, and ales. how their made, tempretures for shit, the gas systems used, with the right gas level mixtures.
- also what types of foods you would recomend for certin types of beers. It was actually all about Stella Artois, and Keiths.
- I had to be able to do a north american pour for the Keiths, and a belgum pour for the Stella. I had to pour two of each for the judges.
- And then I had to serve them like customers in a restaurant/bar for customer service points.
I did awesome!!! I didn't win the trip, but the head Labatts guys pulled me a side to tell me that my pours were absolutly perfect, and that my product knowledge was amazing!! I was like, are you sure? lol. I did however get 2 lobster dinners that are flown to my house in T.O. from nova scotia. along with tons of keiths stuff. for the dinners all i have to do is call them up and tell them when I want my lobsters delivered.
I also got to stay at the Westin Harbour Front castle hotel, in my own suit for free. including lunch and dinner. It was an awesome party with the other teams/ bartenders after the comp. all i know is i should be invited again next year for sure.
But if it was a beer drinking competition, that would still have been alot of fun. thanks for all the support guys. oh and I almost forgot, because i went to the competiton, my boss from my second job fired me, because he said I should have gone to work instead. what a geek!!

Congratulations!
P.s. whats the difference between the size of the 2 heads on the beers?
