Well, as most of you already know I am studying abroad for my Junior year in high school in the Netherlands. I get two weeks off for Christmas break, and a couple of the other exchange students here want to all go somewhere in Europe, but we don't know where!! I thought I would ask here, b/c i'm not the experienced backpacker. Does anyone have any ideas that you could drop my way. It really doesn't matter where in Europe, b/c we are willing to go just about anywhere, I mean we only have one year here, so we gotta live it up.

I always wanted to do Christmas in Paris. I think it would be cool if it snowed while in Paris for Christmas. I also heard that Brudges Belgium is good too becuase of the Christmas market they have. Try to get ahold of a guidebook and see if it has any recommendations for you.
Have a great time over there!

I say do the usual circle... London, Amsterdam, Paris, perhaps Rome, Barcelona... that sort of thing. Or just jump on a train and see where you end up.

Try someplace a little bit warmer? Maybe Greece. Or southern Spain. Or go the opposite route and give eastern Europe or Scandinavia a try!

I'm all for the warm thing!! My sister in law is doing Christmas in Paris/New Years in Vienna this year. She lives in Germany and her husbands being deployed, so she's going out for some fun!
