hey toronto t-punks... so i just got home from my trip, and now i am stuck doing the whole job search... and well it ain't going to good.

do any of you out there know of headhunters in toronto? or got some hook up for some good jobs? not the sites you can find on the net, but actual head hunters that you know people have used. I have been trying monster.ca and wokopolis, but to me appling online is alittle weird.

has anyone on here actual got a job by appling online?

so my t-dot freind help me out before my totally run out of money on my credit card and get a job at my local mall

I could probably get you a job at my work, but it's a restaurant/bar. and it's in Oakville. Not the type of job that requires a head hunter though.

One way to find some headhunters in your area is to actually pick them off Monster. Many of the jobs posted on there are actually posted by recruitment firms (versus the actual company with the opening). You can usually tell from the name of the posting company and sometimes they have a profile about their firm. You can then at least get a list of recruitment firms together and check out their websites, which often have even more openings. If they seem decent you can at least talk to them. Good luck!

I got my current job off the internet....careerbuilder.com actually. It's a sales/consulting job which means that they are out there...just have to log on at the right time.

The company that posted the job opening was actually a recruitment service like LFD said. I had to pass their test before they booked an interview with my manager.

Maybe you can apply to be Ashlee Simpson's handler. Apparently, she gets a little rowdy in Toronto.

I know lots of people that have attained employment through online services. Hell, every single person i recruited this summer came through online application. The only problem I see with online application is that you HAVE to have a perfect resume, because trust me, the person reading it just read 200 others. I found the most effective thing to do was apply online, then go into the workplace to confirm that they got it. I know you cant do that for all of the places you apply to, but if its somewhere youre really interested its worth it. If you put a face to your resume youre a big step higher than the rest.
If you want a job in marketing, start with marketing yourself.
