The Remarkable Rocket is a short story by Oscar Wilde. I'm a huge Wilde fan, and it's a super cute story... about this incredibly arrogant firework who's supposed to be let off at the prince and princess's wedding, but cries all over himself to prove a point so ends up being useless. Also, the last line "'I knew I should create a great sensation', gasped the Rocket. Then he went out", is quoted in Velvet Goldmine, one of my favourite movies. Also, I just think it sounds cool.... gotta love alliteration.

CrazyTexan: I have Texan flags on my wall too! I'm a wannabe Texan, lived in Austin for three years, moved back to England and now spend half my life defending it against all my friends who think they know what they're talking about because they watched Channel 4's program on fat people in Houston.
