I wonder if declaring bankruptcy right after graduation would be looked down upon.
They're federally guaranteed, which means it doesn't matter-- you HAVE to pay them back. Besides, they're changing that law now. No more clean slate, instead you get put on a payment plan or something like that.

Don't get too excited about Financial Services. That is what I am doing now and have been since 2002. But I am also hating the fact that I cannot travel at all. I am looking forward to turning in my final 2 weeks and hitting the road once and for all. I just came out of college and into the workforce and already cannot wait to get out. I will be a professional traveler!

I'm a seeing eye Person. You go to school for about a year - then you get assigned to a blind dog. Just as I was getting used to my job and thinking it wasn't so bad ... I found out the worst part of the job. If the dog dies they will have to put me down

I'm an actuary with an insurance company. That basically means I juggle numbers. Yep, it really is as exciting as it sounds. :greenguy:

Currently a Jenny Craig Counselor. I help people lose weight, yup I'm awesome. But if my hours change up soon I may have to look for a 2nd job...probably serving at a 24-hr diner.

Dang! Talk about a shitty job! Lets see mine is a bit more interesting... Recovery agent or adjuster or the plain and simple "repoman" . Ive been shot at , stabbed, attacked with a baseball bat, attacked by dogs, countless fights, ran over, chased down the street by a 300# samoan woman with a butcher knife, several car chases and the daily verbal beat down! On the plus side of things I get paid Very well, get to work whenever I want, vacation whenever! Oh and it has great perks!

Sounds like a job I had during college... I was a chauffeur/bodyguard for an escort service in Phoenix...

The job sounds great, but I've been beaten, robbed, drug into a room by four really large guys from Chicago, accidentally maced by one of the girls, accidentally maced by myself (while extricating myself from the clutches of the abovementioned Chicagoans), and led a really exciting car chase through Phoenix...

The tips were great, and, well... there were perks... (and business allowed me plenty of time to get my homework done at night)...

Yep, all real. Been doing kickboxing and jhu jhitsu for years , but its just better to stay out of peoples way and call the police. Repoed in Phoenix too! Lived in Glendale for awhile. Man Phoenix is a pretty crazy town too. Not really too keen on the "right to carry" out there.

This threads been around for a while! So my job? I'm a research coordinator at a hospital - we basically research causes and cures for heart disease...not exactly what I went to school for (environmental science) but it is interesting...gots to give it up, though...time for some "me" time!

I travel quite a bit with work since we do international research...I've been to a few places in the States, Sweden, Germany, Mexico...good times...trouble is that travelling with my work entails being holed up in a hotel wining and dining egomanaical doctors from around the world...jerks ! Still, I just tack on some vacation time to the end of the trip - flights are all paid for by the hospital
