It's 3:20am.
I just got home from work (started at 2:00pm).
My feet hurt.
I have to get to bed.
I have to leave the house for work, again, in less than 3 hours.
To set up and run our annual "Santa Brunch".
For 50 children between 0-10 years of age.
I wish I was kidding.

Screw it, I'm staying awake. It's not like the little fuckers will require the same guest service standards as the Boeing and Microsoft executive dinners.

I feel for you SV.
In a couple weeks it'll all be over. Just paste on a smile & keep on going. As you said, the little squirts won't know the difference.

Having to be friendly to people all day with long hours and little sleep has got to be trying. I imagine the industry slows way down after the 1st, so only a few weeks left

Bleh bleh bleh. I'm alive and it wasn't too horrible. My boss strong-armed me (under dire protest) into the chair to get my picture taken with friggin' Santa. I said "Goddammit, you're going to put this up on the board, aren't you!?" She grinned and said yes, but if it made me feel any better everyone else was getting the same treatment.
I now have two days-- IN A ROW, holy shit-- off. Thank fricking god.
