Well technically my baby is only a half tpunk baby because the man that knocked me up is not a tpunk! So I think Miss Chick may be the first official Tpunk baby!
Besides there are a few other Momma's on the boards, Atchoum and Tumbleweedz come to mind. Tumbleweedz is actually expecting her FIFTH baby around the same time I'm due (May)
Lotsa changes going on in our lives. But back to Omi's marriage thread. Hope you guys are enjoying your first week of marriage!

Congrats again Omid. It is kind of funny to see the Facebook feed of you for the last week
By living in Paris you are only a short flight to Malaga and short train ride to Granada away from seeing the Alhambra

Alas, no "somethin' somethin'" on Friday - I'm here alone for the time being until the ol' ball & chain can come join me in a few weeks. Then the honeymoon begins
I'm gonna start up the blog as soon as I have some time to sit and write. Been busy hunting for apartments, getting accustomed to my French office, and SLEEPING. I'd hardly slept since the wedding week, so now's a good time to catch up, I guess. Paris will still be outside the door when I wake up...

What do you do Omid? I was at your website some time back and it looked like you did various arty type things, didn't seem like the kind of thing that could get you expated to France!

I've been working as a designer (or rather, the sole creative) at the US branch of a French-based software company for the past six years (6 years!? WTF!?). They've reorganized the company on the French side and I came here to take over marketing content production worldwide... so while I'm not in a traditional field, I got the whole "internal promotion" thing that's a valid way to come over.
I wish I had better advice for expatriation than "work for a foreign-based company for a long-ass time."

Now that the dust has settled a bit and I'm in a new apartment in Paris (Yay! No more living out of a suitcase!), I took some time last night to put up a set of photos from the wedding. They're not very good - but whatever, I loved the day anyway

So whens the "couch" going to be open for "surfing"? hahaha
I missed Paris when I was in Europe the last two times, and I regret it. I'll definitely be making my way to the land of freedom fries hopefully in my next visit to Europe.

Heheh.. good question. Probably sometime after the wife comes over to join me, and we enjoy it a bit (and "inaugurate" all the rooms... heheh). Then we can start registering the living room futon with HostelWorld or something

Great wedding pics Omi. Here's hoping your "better half" is with you soon.

Sounds like a pretty cool job!
I never thought of it before, but I guess one of the advantages of living in a big city like San Francisco is that the "wedding at the town hall" turns out to be in a pretty nice building after all

Hah, if you got married at the registry office where I live (we don't have a Town Hall) you'd be getting married right next door to a bank, the magistrates court, a bus depot and a police station.
Lovely pics Omi. Congrats again.

Lord knows it would end up nicer than 90% of the hostels in Paris!
Mazel tov, Omid. A wild turn of events, but it seems quite fitting for the both of you.
