So me and a few friends drove down to the states today to check out some factory outlets and go to a mall. We were driving thru burlington, washington when suddenly my friend screams

"OMIGAWDDDDDDDDDDDD"

I was Like "whaaaaaaaat"

she said "We're In burlington!!!!!!"

me says "yeah i know"

she screams in my ear "They have krispy kreme here!!!!"

and then she starts screaming somemore.

Well I have heard of the doghnuts before but have never tried one. We don't have any in B.C (though they will open one up soon i;ve heard). aaaaah holy Fockin gawd. It was soooo good. We were so giddy when we were ordering. Then the light was on and we got a free one with some little hats! It was great. Outside we took pictures of ourselves in front of krispy kremes with our hats on and our box of a dozen doghnuts. Coming back over the border the customs officer asked what we did today and we said we went to krispy kremes and he started laughing hysterically. :D aaah god bless doghnuts.

THE END

eh, good story......until now I have never fully appreciated the 5 Krispy Kreme places in town...but in light of the fact that it is only an American thing and that Canadians drive to America to sample our fine delicasies, I know have a higher respect for our national doughnut establishments...Bwahahaa....I think you should post the picture of you in the hat in front of Krispy Kreme!!!

to me, a born and raised american, a krispy kreme doughnut is a chunk of sugar that is horribly unhealthy (like most american foods) but rather tasty from what I hear.

here is the site Krispy Kreme

Thumbs up

I never understood the hype about Krispy Kremes - they're just stupid glazed donuts that are too soft and squishy. "Krispy" my *ss! They're actually at the bottom of my list as far as donut types. Am I the only one who don't like 'em?

Don't understand the fascination with Krispy Kreme. Like TUI said, doughnut shaped, crystallized sugar.

I don't recall ever having one, although if I did it obviously wasn't that great. The one by my house went out of business. I prefer Dunkin Donuts. I hate Tim Hortons, their donuts are so F'in nasty, and why is it so hard for them to make bavarian creme donuts? "We have boston creme, its the same." NO, boston is nothing like bavarian, and your boston creme tastes like <nasty nasty things>. Whatever happened to decent donuts? They can't even get a glazed donut right. I've gone to like 20 Tim Hortons, they are all the same, morons making crappy donuts and even worse coffee. Is this what America is becoming the land of nasty food? I thought that was supposed to be England. See we are turning into our parents. (bad food, and snotty accents)

Disclaimer: No offense to any actual Brits, as this is just random ranting and stereotyping of Britain, because you know you stereotype us backward Americans too. :D

Sorry about the rant y'all. I just want a decent f**kin donut.

Twinkie Cream is nasty, it makes me sick, it's too rich or something.

Bah... I would probably order a muffin and get some ugly fritter. Then I would have to look at the moron in the window and ask if this looks like a muffin and they will say something like "I thought you ordered a coffee, black". Thus I will repeat my question and have to resort to smushing the ugly fritter into their stupid face, and it will of cost me $1.70 to do this, when I could have just had my mum bake me like 3 dozen muffins for the $.79 it costs for a box of jiffy.

But perhaps when I am in Quebec, I will try one of their muffins.. I will probably have an easier time communicating with someone in french about me wanting a muffin there then communicating in English here. Sorry about the rant, nothing against you, just Tim Hortons.
