Default You know you're a traveler when...

Someone asks you to list your achievements and you list countries you have seen
Someone asks you to ist your ambitions and you list countries you want to go to
You can order beer in more then 3 langauges
You can ask for the toilet in more then 3 langauges
You're either traveling or saving to travel
You have a favourite packback

You get frusterated with "normal" people
Every month or more you just HAVE to get away
You live out of your backpack perpetually

You start every story with "When I was in <insert random country you've been to here>"
Every story you hear reminds you of <insert random country you've been to here>
the phrase "<insert random country you've been to here>" actually applies to you and has more than one answer

You're asked for ID and you reach into your "secret" zippered pocket to reach for your passport. Even when buying beer at the corner market.

You forget what it's like to be ID'd

You sometime's sleep on the floor with only a sleep sheet cause your used to crappy hostel beds

you can say toilet, exit, ticket and beer in more than 3 languages

You can't stand you friends at home anymore

you get depressed think about how long you have till the next time you can get out of this country..... or out of this town

You try to convince your boss to start international business just so you can travel and he says okay....Go do it... and now you've been working nonstop with suppliers in Germany holland and denmark for the pst week just so that you can go over their (yeah that one's kind of specific )

You know your a traveller when...

you and your laundry take a shower together...

you have more plug adapters then electronic devices...

you spend time scoping out the train station/airport for outlets to plug into to charge your mp3 player...

when you have designated "travel" clothes...

you have an REI platnum credit card...

Sleeping in the same bed every night just seems wrong

You feel lonely when you're not sharing a room with at least 5 other people.

Being able to order a meal or ask for directions in English feels like you're cheating

Any meal over $6 seems VERY expensive (only works if you've been travelling in cheap countries i guess)

You're worried about starting a relationship with someone because you know that you will be leaving the country sometime in the not too distant future to go travelling again. (this one might just be me)

when you're at home you think of ways to get rid of things like cell phones and cars.

You refuse to even consider dating someone who hasn't traveled at least as much as you.

your parents call you a travelling liberal hippy.

your idea of living richly is opening a hostel somewhere and barely making ends meet.

A hush falls over you at the sight of a world map or globe, and you are irresistably drawn towards it, and stare at it for a long time without saying anything, emotions flickering through you inside -- sad...happy...proud...longing...determination...lo nging...

When people are taking a "packaged vacation" it doesn't seem right.

When you can't imagine going to a new place and not talk with the locals as much as those you came with.

You go away and don't come back with the tourist souveneirs.

- your friends begin to brace themselves before you even open your mouth, at the chance they might be hearing yet another trip story

- you could start your own travel agency with all the advice you can give about traveling

- you spend way too much time on travelpunk, trying to figure out your next trip, even though you're broke and have no time in the future

- this is probably just a Canadian one, but you know the flags that practically every Canadian backpacker has? Well, sometimes at my university, I'll spot a flag on a bag and instinct will tell me to go introduce myself, start a conversation, but then I realize that I'm in university, they're just trying to get to their next class, and it might be kind of creepy! (Maybe that's just me...)

When you watch a movie you find yourself saying "I've been there" all the time. (eg. The Bourne Supremacy, i was saying it all the way through that movie)
