So the Dalai Lama is coming to UT to speak later on this month and tickets were being handed out starting at 7 am today. A bunch of my dirty hippie friends and I decided that we simply must go to his lecture and so we camped out starting at 11:30 pm last night.. We had snacks and chairs and blankets and homework. A few people in the line had tents.. It was like some weird huge chill all night party, just thousands and thousands of people waiting all night. I was number 791 in line, and when I got my tickets I followed the line backwards. I walked for about twenty five minutes before I found the very end, girl number 3005, the line snaked all over campus, doubling back on itself. Shizer. Anyway, thats what Im up to lately, silly things like this and no time to get on tpunk. And I got my marilyn piercing and its dead sexy. Im pretty excited about hearing him speak, though. My mom is going to come up and use the other ticket, she's in the middle of red cross stuff but figures she can get away for a day.

Crazy but still cool. You'll have to post pictures if you're allowed to take them. BTW I had that piercing (too many different names for one piercing!) and loved it. I let it close for a job though.

The DL is tha man!
Some of my contingent (while I was off looking for cold water in the arid, high-elevation air) ran into him at the airport in New Mexico a couple of years ago. When asked what he was doing in NM, he replied that he wanted to have his favorite sushi in the world - in Santa Fe!
Charming little old man, isn't he?
(admittedly, the sushi bars in Santa Fe are pretty damn great for a landlocked place...)

Also referred to as the "Monroe" or "Madonna." It's a beauty mark piercing slightly about the side of your lip (think Cindy Crawford). They're uber cute.

That's not crazy. I would camp out for days for a rock band; the dali lama is more important than that!!! Enjoy! and post pics!

Disappointing. I thought it was a lot dirtier than that. Things with names usually are.

strange...
oh and what an absolutely degrading thing, no wonder there are so many lesbians.
