By chance if any of you T-punks are looking or know anyone looking for a new place to live in Tampa,FL I (will) have a 3 bedroom house w/ fenced yard shortly. There are two of us now, we need one more person (or a couple) for the last room. It's a big house just south of Tampa but not quite to Brandon.
I hope everyone's travels this summer have been awesome!... If you got to travel that is.
I hope to post pics and some of my stories from my fav. places I saw this summer. First, I need to work out some small details like where I'm living, working, etc...
How bout it Guys?

I just bought a house a few days ago, well still kind of buying it since I wont have the keys and title for like a few week, and will be looking for people up in Massachusetts that are looking to rent. It will be in Tewksbury.
A lot of people seem to be needing renters huh?

Hmmm... we may actually be moving to FL but it probably won't be until November and we have no idea where. So, is it an okay (FL, not your house ) place to live?

FL is ok. It depends on where you live. You are bound to run into hoards of rednecks, old retired people, or both. I have been to many different places in FL and those stick out the most in my memory. Also, FL has NO state income tax. They make up for it on taxing everything else but it is still a plus.

To answer your questions about Florida, it's my home and yes there are "rednecks" and tons off Grannys but so what. Tampa is nice b/c your close to everything-Orlando-J-Ville-Gainesville-Miami etc. There is an unbelievable variety of nature and landscape. There's flatlands and praries in Gainesville, swamps in miami, beaches of course, and tons of lakes and rivers, camping, surfing. I love Florida even when it's opressivly hot outside. I love the rainstorms and the lightning. The food is also great, Cuban,Mexican, South American,BBQ.
If you tell me why your thinking of moving to Florida I might be able to give you better info. /tips....for example...is it for the beaches? Fishing? Weahter? People?

While we're at it.....
My friend and I need to find a 2br apartment in Vancouver (no suburbs and/or basement suites please). Must have lots of natural light. We will be willing to pay up to $1300. Insuite laundry would be nice as well!
dammit this better work. I can't read the classifieds anymore!

Thanks for the tips. The predominant reason is I applied to some really great sound programs for Americorps. I never actually considered it until I found an awesome sounding program there but now I really love the idea. I LOVE the ocean and beaches mostly. Like to avoid crime ridden areas. Also love forests and hiking but ocean is #1. Also the weather. I'm backpacking Europe now, but came from Wisconsin and am not tolerating another winter there and now I want to go in the extreme opposite direction. I can handle storms and rain, but not frigid cold.
I read that they have no income tax and couldn't decide whether that was good or not (what is the sales tax on average?).
Thanks so much! It'll be nice to get info from someone that actually lives there.
Oh and rednecks don't bother me. I come from a very small town in rural WI. They're everywhere and just as ignorant (although they can be fun).
