Whats up fellow TP's, following up on my last thread which was about my friend not being able to go backpacking with me etc...

I made a decision that I dont think I can do it solo, id much rather have someone with me, not just as company throughout the travels but I just hate being alone all the time (as I am here in the states), I need some company for sure, and the main reason is because its my first time. Maybe the second time, next year is a FOR SURE, so I dont care.

So im thinking of just heading over to Ibiza, Spain SOLO, and partying it up. Im thinking instead of doing 2 weeks, I think ill just do 1 week. My parents and sisters are heading on a cruise (first time) this June, and I havent been on a family type trip since I was like 14yrs old, my parents travel the world once a year with my sisters, but this year they are splitting the month and taking one week. So im thinking.... Cruise for a week, then as soon as I come back head to Ibiza for some relaxing days and partying nights.

Whatcha think? Nothing is set in stone, I might just call it quits on the cruise and just go to Ibiza for two weeks, I definitely need some relaxation...

Thats too bad you've decided to shoot down this trip b/c you don't want to go solo. Its way different and you're likely to take some great expierences home with you.

My first trip was solo and I'm damn proud of that. I know that I can end up in whatever part of a forgien country, not know anyone, the language, culture or where the hell I am and still come out smellin like a rose.

Its pretty powerful when you can say "I can rely on myself to get through a tough situation when everyone I know and love is thousands of miles away"

All the solo travellers out there knows what it feels like, its unreal.

yea.........my first trip is goin to be solo. goin to the Netherlands for a year at 16 is a big step, but i can't wait to leave, and bein there for an entire year, who the hell know's what's goin to happen, but i think that's kool not knowin what's goin to happen. i mean i don't even know where in the Netherlands i am goin to be placed, and i don't even know who i am stayin with, and i leave in 4 months, it's driven me crazy, but it's an awesome feelin. i say go solo, you'll have an amazin time.

I say your way is fine. Everyone is different and you gotta figure out what you like. I'd love to go on a cruise and it would be nice to do it with the fam (especially if they're paying ). Then the week of partying and such will give you a feel for doing somethign like that alone and if you want to do an extended trip like that. Party hard!

lol thanks guys. And the alone thing was for the backpacking, the Ibiza thing I can manage on my own lol

Maybe it is a thrill to do it alone (backpacking) and im just having the newb shakes when it comes to it. I frankly can give two shits, ill do it, but for my preference as a first time, id rather do it with someone.

Ibiza here I come!

yeah i was a mashed up brit in ibiza for a couple of months luckily i had a few friends working there but i knew loads of people who just go on their own and have a good time..it'll be great fabio!

Many peeps here will (rightfully) tell you that flying solo is often so much more fun than being with another friend.

I myself have almost always travelled solo.

But I think it's more important to trust your own instinct.
