just decided to post b/c no one was saying happy st pattys!!!
interesting thing i heard recently: my friend said that when he went to Ireland (he's Irish) he went to the small town his grandparents live in, and we in the U.S. apparantly make a bigger deal about it then they do.
don't really believe it.... i always imagine the Irish with leprechaun outfits on and running around drinking beer with green everywhere...
but it made an interesting story

I am part Irish myself... :greenguy:
I am celebrating the day by going to class then I am going out to a local Irish pub for some Guinness. That stuff taste like motor oil but I bring out my true Irish spirit once a year and drink it as a tradition. Maybe a little Jameson too
Anyhow, Happy St. Patty's day to all and be safe. We don't need any TP'ers out there getting hit with a DUI. Enjoy!

I love St. Patty's Day!!!! Mainly because i'm Irish...like 99% and i love a reason to get drunk and celebrate my heritage!! Woo Hoo!!!
Brit and I are going out to find some places to drink green beer and like someone else said...the stuff they call Guiness here but tastes scarily similar to motor oil (don't ask how i know). I miss the real stuff!! We'll post pics from our crazy day hopefully!!! Be safe everyone and get crazy...those two don't belong in the same sentence...you know what i mean.

Well well well, I celebrated my St. Patrick's Day by working a 14 hour double shift in my two bars. Watching OTHER people drink for 14 hours while u stand around in pain, dead ass sober, is not a whole lotta fun. Oh by the way, all you people out there who love car bombs(me included) I hate you all. They are such a pain in the ass to make and on St Paddy's every five minutes someone comes stumbling up and slurs, "I'll take 8 car bombs." Aaaaaahh!!!! On the good side tho, I made enough money today to fund a little trip I'm taking to Puerto Vallarta in June-ish
Anywho, what did everyone else do for St. Paddy's?? We want details, and if possible, pictures
Slainte!!

We didn't really, but they want to make it more of an event these days, it's a week long celebration in Dublin and it's Irish language week aswell.
We had a parade for the first time yesterday, it was brilliant altogether, there where screeming kids (thats what woke me as they passed right infront of my window and I had only passed out 3 hours before that) a donkey, upwards of two floats and a shit load of trackers. What more could you ask form Paddys day. I took pictures but I haven't uploaded them yet.
I'm still a bit wacked from last night but I had to come into work today. Had a spliff at lunch tough and that sorted me out lovely.

Well what a craic i had. After making my Paddie's ladies tshirt with lots of green sequins i went out with 6 or so of the irish ladies, one who i happen to live with. Liverpool is like a second home for Irish students so we really go to town here with celebrations and being the good english gorl i am who likes an excuse to dress up i headed to the union as a green! I watched the U2 tribute band (very cool, but not as good as the real thing) and had plenty of guiness with blackcurrant.
