also peeps, i found out that ALL starbucks are excepting donations for the tsunami victims too. that should make it easier for most people to donate. there are starbucks EVERYWHERE! just go into a store and tell them that you want to donate and you can give it them cash, credit card, debit card, check or even off of your starbucks card, if you have one. you can donate as little or as much as you want but anything will help.

there are also a ton more organizations that are excepting as well that TravelPunk and BeerGal posted here --->HELP THE TSUNAMI VICTIMS

hmmm...although I'm sure Starbucks doesn't "skim" ( ) money from what you donate, somehow giving them money doesn't appeal to me. I've always had this vendetta against that company...

I think I'll stick with my credit card and calling the Red Cross

Its a great heads up, Scarlotte just not my bag

my dad yells at me and gives me this disgusted look everytime I even mention the word starbucks. (he roasts his own coffee beans and has over 70 pds of unroasted beans in stock at all times. I swear they could turn our house into a cafe) anyway he despises them in the same way i hate wal-mart. Which is pasionately.

I've been talkin with my roomates and we are starting to plan a asia trip for next summer. And I know that they will still need help over there then. So if you want to come with and help support the asian economy start saving your pennies. Less charbucks more banking. or something retarded like that.

Jake I am with you on the whole passionately hating wal-mart. If I saw the demise of wal-mart I would smile and throw a party. Wal-mart is by far the most criminal uncaring disgusting company in this country. disgusting they are and I spit on their name.

Starbucks however, I have warmed up to, after looking at some of the benefits they give their employees and some of their other actions I can only have a distaste for their over abundance. So starbucks is no longer on my "companies I wish to see crash into the ground and their operators to crash with it" to like 3.

Wal-mart
Walgreens
K-mart (yes, I know they are now Sears Holding. ack.. and I liked sears too. )

Sorry for the jack...

I trust many people will take advantage of this oppurtunity and donate money to help the victims of the tsunami. The already generous outpouring from Americans and the rest of the world has been very helpful I am sure.

AMEN!!! (by the way-- have you seen the south park \"Wall-Mart\" episode? Perfect!!)

I may sneer at Starbucks but I'll still go in and order a chai or, sometimes in the summer, a frappuccino.

There was actually something on 60 minutes the other day about the Starbucks phenom that I saw on the plane...I guess Starbucks is the largest growing company ever in the US or something...the main complaint of customers was actually too many choices. There are some 19000 drink choices... I thought it was funny anyhow...

interesting thing is, well a couple years ago, i was reading and starbucks said they only controled something like 11% of the coffee shop market. amazing for the number of stores they have. I know they pretty much have a lockdown on Chicago.
