Bril, if you can, and haven't been, go to Malta!!! There is so much to see and do there.
I've been all of the Mediteranian and there are a lot of great places...I am in love with that area of the world. Portugal is also awesome. Since the tickett is free you might consider try to catch a couple of places..i.e you could fly into Sicily and take a ferry from Catania to Malta, or fly into Badajos (sp?) and get a bus to both Madrid and into Portugal. How much time do you have to where ever you go? If you fly into southern Spain, and have some time, you can go into Portugal from there, go to Gibraltar, and take a ferry across to Morroco.
Just some ideas...

Yeah, I'd hit up southern Spain and then go to Portugal. I mean, everybody's got different tastes, but I bet Oporto would be a friggin' blast.

Porto would be a bit of a hike from Southern Spain but it was amazing; I think it would probably be my favorite place in Portugal

I've been to Salem on Holloween, very impressive....haha
I'd go with Portugal though!!! btw, Portugal has a high speed train that not many people know about.
Faro-Lisbon=2 Hours---15 Euros
Lisbon-Porto=3 Hours---20 Euros for fast train, 16 Euros for a slow one.
Also, for just 4-8 Euros you can get upgraded to first class. It's a really good deal, in France it's it costs like 3 times this!!
