Ok, I just had to vent. After going through Hurricane Charley only a few weeks ago, we have another one.. Frances... So I spent ALL DAMN MORNING trying to find a store with supplys, the only thing I found was a number of stores putting signs up saying that they are receiveing supplys at 4am and to come back at 4am on a first come first served basis... people are already starting to drain all the gas stations again, and we have not even cleaned up half of the mess from Charley (there is still trees and power lines down). Now they just said it is going to hit Brevard and come to Orlando, then sit here for as long as 16 hours!! and turn and go north... 16 hours?!!? Thats unheard of! Sorry, I'm just a little PO'ed cause this ruins my weekend, it will take weeks to recover (maybe even months due to Charley and Frances)

Sorry, I'm just pissed and at work and can't think about anything but how to get supplys.... hmmm nahh

See ya,
Lee

dude turn lemons into lemonade and bust out the surfboard... sorry thats just the way my brain thinks... in chicago during the blizzards i'd bust out my mountain bike and go riding on the barely frozen lakes and icey streets... you can slide forever!
ANyway be crazy... you'll be famous... make a ton of money and never have to worry about supplies again. And if by chance your craziness gets you killed... well then two things.
First- I never suggested it
Second - You wont have to worry about supplies!

If it were me I would buy alot of beer and booze then have a hurricane party with a bunch of ladies and a few friends. Towards the end it would be so easy to say well things look bad out there I think the three of you should stay here and wait out the storm.

Bahah, thanks ya all.. ya crack me up.. Well it's offical.. Everyone in Orlando has gone mad. There is really no gas left, and if there is a gas station with some left they have a 1-2 hour wait and you are limited to 5 gallons. No ice, can food, boards, or brains. We have a midnihgt curfew tonight so goverment trucks can try and clean up as much trash and crap from the other hurricane, Charley, as they can in a 24 hour period so we dont have more flying objects at 100+ mph. This storm is double the size of charley. I did went to a hurricane party during Charley..... no one is going to be partying for this one...

Wow- I am so sorry for my previous posts. I make it sound like I am excite a storm is heading down there. I keep forgetting that these storms aren't just about surfing but they wreack havoc and destroy things. Best of luck to you man, I am waiting for that storm to die off as well and I'll wait for it to head north so I can surf the sucker.

Best wishes, God bless and God speed in your endeavours to protect what shouldn't be claimed by some weather.

Don't do anything crazy. Stay indoors and be safe, bro .
