Campina,

I was in Croatia at the tail end of the war. I started out in Bosnia & Herzegovina then decided since I was so close to head over to Croatia. Off the top of my head I can not remember specifics like towns but I went all over the place. I rented a motorcycle and just drove and drove some more trying not to get in trouble. The one thing that stands out in my mind though has to be the scenary, it was amazing!!! I have been looking all over for my pics. Once I find them I will post them on my web site. Check out the Members Photo section under the topic "South Side Chicago" for my web site.

A beautiful, blue glacier outside Juneau, AK. Crisp air, climbing up the side of that monster.

And the island south of the Mornington Pen., Melbourne, Aus. Forget the name of it, but it is known for the smallest penguins in the world. Had some crazy surf!

And Sorrento, Italia. Bellissimo!!

ahhh, the first (and last) time i ate chicken heart.**
What'd it taste like...chicken?

*rimshot* [/b]
how was the chicken tasted joan? is it good? we (indonesians) just like to eat the insides of animals you know (chicken, cow, sheep) like tongue, heart, liver, brain, lungs, and even penis! (yuck! i never tried this one actually, too disgusting). my fav would be cow's lung and tongue. don't say yuck till you tried! it's gooooooddd...

Naming a favourite place is next to impossible! I found that the times I had 'moments' were where I was by myself in some kind of natural landscape just sitting back enjoying the views withouth a care in the world...like from a moorish castle in sintra (near lisboa), bastei cliffs area walking between villages near dresden in germany and floating down the vltava river in cesky krumlov, czech.

Cinque Terre. It is flippin' awesome. I stayed in Monterrosso, on the far south of the cinque terre and loved every minute of it.

Also, and I can't remember where you're from, but if you have any interest whatsoever in history, go to the Normandy beaches in northern France...especially Pont du Hoc....absolutely breathtaking.

Aussie Guy

My top ten places for Europe, not in any order of importance.

Paris (history, food, just amazing)
San Sebastian (on a hot day there is no better place, awesome tapas)
Madrid (great place to party, some good day trips close by)
Barcelona (great food, great place to party, awesome sites)
Amsterdam (if you like to go crazy this is the town)
Berlin (everything from culture to history to food this city has it all)
Munich (beer halls and Engleschier Gardern (sp?)
Prague (take Amsterdam, subtract the weed, and cut all the prices in half)
Interlakken (some of the best scenery in the world, just a town surrounded by incredible mountains)
Rome (just because of all the incredible sites)

I have not been to Ireland or The UK, so I am sure a couple places there would make the list as well.

Ha I've never been anywhere but BC and Alberta, but I think it will always be Vanvouver Island and the Okanagan for me. It's home.

Marrakech.

Kensington Gardens.

Mostly Marrakech, though.

I'd recommend Champerie, Switzerland. GORGEOUS. Of course there's Rothenburg, Germany which is a great little town too, if you get lost just follow the wall, helped me many times. My favorite place in Madrid was this little underground grocery store..I'm amused easily though...

Hey Somnambulation, where at in California?

Prague, San Sebastian, Paris, Munich, Madrid.

Those are some of the best places to get your drink on, meet crazycool people, see some awesome stuff (the isle of the saintess in the harbour in San Sebastian is unbelievable), and see a whole new world.

And if it hasn't been said enough, tapas and sangria make Spain all worth the while.

Im in the north, Stockton area, but Ive been down south the past four years at school. Not that this area is the best, the other parts of the state is what I meant.

have to agree....venice beach california is crazy and living there for 3 months was awesome...lots of artsy fun people and calm laid back atmosphere....
marseille (south of france) was a bit scary....every 2 minutes a police siren started and every 5 minutes you saw some pretty sketchy guys doing some not so legal business trades by the port...
but st raphael and st tropez are very cool...beautiful beaches, nice little towns...beautiful guys....i defiently recomend you stay atleast a few days if you find yourself in france or near france...
