Well my passport arrived in the mail yesterday. So it is now in my possession. Now I just need money. Anyone care to make a donation?

Hey thats wicked news sijuki! Having your own does make you want to travel even more. And getting it stamped is great, because every country has a totally different type of stamp. Even when I went to Paris for a weekend, I asked the guy at the check through bit to stamp my passport, (they normally don't do it for us brits), but I went on and on at him to do it, and he crumbled in the end, and stamped it for me!
Happy stamping sijuki!

Congratulations Sijuki! I`m happy for u... In Brazil we just have to wait 7 days to get our passport but I never forget what I felt when it arrived in my house. Now you just need to save money... This is a very important step too. Good luck!

Yeah its a good feeling getting your passport in the mail for the first time, knowing that you can now legally go anywhere in the world. I look like a drowned corpse in my passport photo, but oh well.

Thanks everyone....

Yes Rozza when I do finally leave it will be my first time off the Rock... besides Canada I have never graced another country. Although the US is pretty big in its own right. But yes, yes, the first chance I get to save up some cash, I think I will definately be bouncing my broke ass over to Europe.

Som... I look like I am some criminal ghetto thug, looks more like my arrestting mug shot then my passport photo.

If it wasn't for the fact I am so broke right now, I would probably be really excited about it.

Congrats on the passport, Rob! Hey, if you're having trouble saving money, there's always embezzlement! Rite Aid's a big corporation, they can afford to fund your traveling...

Rite Aid is one of the larger US Pharmacy/Drug Store chains - they are everywhere now (at least here in New England). They sell a lot of other things as well, like groceries, beer, etc.

You know Mike, it would be so easy too... I have keys and safe codes to about 5 stores. On a good sunday night I could easily probably clear out about $40-50k. By time anyone noticed I would already be out of the country. But I am not like that.

Yes... for all who care Rite Aid is the #3 Drug Store Chain in the U.S. behind Walgreens and CVS respectively. They operate something like 3400 stores in 34 states and the District of Columbia. They are based in Camp Hill, PA. They experienced rapid growth through the earlier and mid 90's buying up smaller competitiers all over the country and quickly becoming the #1 drugstore chain. with such chains as Perrys, Greys, I can't remember the one out west. Then it all came crashing down when the truth of accounting scandal came to light and the embezzlement of money by the Executives, including Martin Grass the son of the founder of Rite Aid. In 2000, it was highly rumored in the business world that that would be Rite Aids last Christmas season But amazingly enough they still survive and are actually in a pretty healthy condition. They closed something like 800 stores, many were actually sell offs or trades. They worded with CVS to trade areas of stores so they could each eliminate a competitor in an area. There are also no Rite Aid's in Florida due to a prescription price fixing scam. Although I think they would like to return but I am pretty sure they are banned for 10 years or something.

So that is our history lesson of Rite Aid. Oh yeah, and the stores out west are freakin huge, they are like department stores, so I have been told... at least the ones in Cali. I have always been curious. Any of our Cali people frequent Rite Aids at all?

I've always wanted to go to a Rite Aid in Vegas so I can gamble there.

The company itself is alright, but I don't like my District Manager. Many of the stores are old and behind the times with old registers and what not.
