Omisan's News Bomb!!11!!ONE
So all this has been in the works for a little while now, but I figured I'd roll it out as one announcement.
My last trip to Paris turned out to be an audition of sorts, and I landed the job. I'll be transferring to my company's HQ in France.
Of course, I want my girlfriend to come with me, and she can't get in on my (to-be-verified) Visa without us being hitched first, so as soon as the news came through, we got engaged.
Well, HQ wants me over in Paris next week (!!!), so the lady and I are tying the knot on Friday. As in this Friday. Like, the day after tomorrow.
So, yeah, in the matter of a week and a half, I've become engaged, will be getting married, moving to another country, and starting a new job. You know that Army recruiting motto? "We do more before 9AM than most people do all day." I kinda feel that way right now, running around like a madman.
Anyway, back to the whirlwind - I'll be starting the blog up again when I hit France next week for an in-depth look at adjusting to life there.

C'mon now, this ain't no shotgun wedding. We have to enjoy SOME time for ourselves in Europe before being saddled with rugrats
Thanks, y'all. Can't wait for the next phase of life to start - the only thing I'm nervous about is finalization of the work authorization from the French government. Compared to dealing with them, the spectre of getting married is a breeze!

Uhm, Wow!
Yeah, the government paperwork will probably last long enough to really drive you batshit...

Carpe Diem, yeah?
Congrats, that's a pretty whirlwind week right there. Today is your last day being single, kind of crazy to think about!
Moving to France is an amazing opportunity, it's so hard to get a visa there if you don't already have a job lined up.
