I swear this has been a thread before so some of you tpunk old timers will know this but my celebrity list is really long for two reasons. I'm from LA and I went to the playboy mansion for a party but the three most notable are Fred Durst, the singer (he's cool as hell and funny); ShannonElizabeth from American Pie (she's damn near 6ft tall and a bitch from what I saw), and Oscar de la Hoya (he's short, has a tiny voice, and I know it wouldn't work but I swear I could kick his ass)

It was the midsummer night's dream party....the lingerie party. Twas pretty damn cool. Have pics with naked painted ladies and everything. Got to talk a bit with Hef in his office and saw Sammy Sosa look stupid. Grotto's sweet but not as big as you might think. And yes, Hef does have his own personal zoo.
Oh and yes, Tori Spelling is in fact a train wreck.

what a fuck-face.

Forgot about the USO Shows - met Robin Williams at one (being bomb squad really helps - you get a free pass that lets you go anywhere) - He's a really decent guy.
Same show - John Elway, and LeAnn Tweeden - also really cool people
At a different show, met Drowning Pool. They were awesome, they flew 39 hours, played an AWESOME show, then stuck around for 3 hours afterwards to ensure EVERY SINGLE SOLDIER that wanted an autograph got one. They were really cool and didn't try to rush anyone ("ok, I've signed your paper, now move along")

OK Jake, I'm with Lauren...I am indeed curious about the whole hanging out with Garth Brooks for a month! I would love that, he is the shit! So spill dude. Tell us all your Garth secrets.
And Jason, I think Tori Spelling is hilarious. Sandy and I were watching her reality show "Tori and Dean-INN LOVE" the other night and he kept saying how much I'm like her. I didn't think he was complimenting me for some reason...Though I hate to see it, I did see *some* similarities...

that's awesome! Toby Keith was certianly not like that... he had this big autograph signing session and after show planned and just before it was supposed to begin he cancelled it. we booed him big time. he couldn't even cancel it himself, a rep for him came on stage after he left and was like "it's been a long day" - wait hold up, don't tell ME about a long day. you play 2-two hour concets in one day and you're spent? we got guys working 18 hour days sometimes and none of us have had a day "off" since we've been here. so bitch, don't tell us about a long day. a lot of huge country fans were so disappointed. and he wouldn't speak to anyone below O-3.

Oh come on it's not like I'm singing "My Heart Will Go On" or anything.......would it be wrong to add that it was an "INN LOVE" marathon as well?????
To be fair, part of why I was interested in it is because she was like 9 months pregnant and ready to pop and I was curious to see how a rich girl from Beverly Hills was handling it.

I resent you for the negative Celine reference. But seriously dude there is no no no shame in watching trashy reality TV... these people are human traffic accidents, you cannot tear your eyes away! I get it! my roommate and I watched "average joe" when it came out the first year... and I admit to owning seasons 1 & 2 of "laguna beach"..... lame rich girl high school drama....come on!! omg and the mtv reality show "rich girls" with ali hilfiger and that other girl no one knew... SO GOOD. and "the osbournes"... sweet jesus. I want to be sharon osbourne.

lol hows this for lame then, i spent xmas day watching season 1 or dawsoms creek with friends, then everyone was so addicted, the next morning we went out and brought season two and watched part of that.lol. as for reality series, is it wrong to watch the commentary on the playboy mansion series 2? ahha desperate!
as for celebs ive met.. i stalked fred durst and limp biscut once, but i didnt even know who they were. fred signed my tummy and invited me up to his hotel room, but i was like 15 or something stupidly young and didnt go. he was nice tho. that afternoon i went to the cd store and asked to hear someof that limp biscuit music, and was throughtly pissed when i heard the songs and went wtf! i love that! damnit!
i met blondies people in the strip club once, went up to them asking if they were blondies groupies. felt stupidly ashamed when they said they sorta were part of blondie. scored some free tickets to their concert tho gave them to my god mum tho.
i kinda sorta didnt meet paris hilton once. she was in surfers paradise for the filming of house of wax, and we walked right past her sitting at a cafe.my friends said it was her, i said it wasnt. then stood a few meters away from her loudly proclaiming it wasnt paris hilton. she gave me a weird look, then i got embarassed and realised it was. i got to shy to ask for an autograph lol
i really need to know my celebs before i meet them.
oh, more recently, kate hudson came into my club, i dunno why she was even here, it was ages ago now i guess, when she was with own wilson-he wasnt there tho. again, too shy to actually go say hi, plus she had about 10 other people with her in vip.

I LOVE WEIRD AL! I literally cannot remember a time before I was listening to Weird Al. My dad and older brother were fans, and the very first album of music I ever owned was a cassette tape of Weird Al's 'Dare to be Stupid.'
If you ever can, go to one of his shows. He is one of the most awesome live performers ever. He does a pretty long set and is constantly changing costumes to fit the songs that he's doing. really impressive

A cassette!! oh, the glory days. I remember getting a shoving match with some other girl at Wal-mart over the last Billy Ray Cyrus cassette (we were probably 8 or 9 years old..)... not the most redneck thing I've ever said, but close.
Tori Amos puts on a great show too. Lots of improv stuff, like the strap of her dress broke in the middle of the show and she stopped what she was singing and made up some random song about her dress strap breaking. it was pretty funny.

I had a dream last night that I saw Elton John in a music store and he looked kinda sad and I went up and starting chatting to him and completely brightened his day cause he thought he was past it and then I turn up being some crazy fan girl. so he invited me to a party he was having and I had just arrived and was chatting away to a bunch of Elton's rock star friends when my alarm went off. it was the most disappointing wake-up ever, to actually realise that I've never met Elton John, we're not friends, I'm not at his party, and I actually had to go to uni in an hour followed directly by work. it made me really sad.
umm as for real life celebrity sightings, Janet Jackson when I lived in Brunei.. also Michael cause he played a concert there, but do concerts count? cause If they do I can count Elton! haha. I met Patrick Swayze after his last performance of guys and dolls in London, that was a huge moment for me. he was so charming, I'm sad to hear that he's gotten sick again. I also met Tim Curry in London after Spamalot and Idina Menzel and Adam Garcia after Wicked.
And only Australian kids raised in the 80s/90s will appreciate this but I have met Noni, John, George, Simon and Deborah from Playschool! all on different occasions. Deborah Mailman wasn't actually on Playschool when I was little, she came a bit later but she came into my work a few weeks ago and all I could think was "Oh my god, she's been on Playschool!" haha.
my my this is a long rambling post.
