Craigslist
Craiglist is the sh*t! I got a dining room table, a coffee table, and a barbecue off Craigslist today, from two different folks. And on my way to one of them, I found a yard sale with a book shelf. Total spent, $25. Word! Yeah, so if you haven't seen Craigslist yet I highly recommend it.
You can get yourself a bi-sexual gothic 70 year old there looking for a LTR, whatever that is, as well!

HAHA! a 70 year old goth... I freaking love the people in this world.
yeah craigslist rocks, I scour that site when I am looking for a place to live. I check every day for places in cbus even though it's still a bit early.
I wish they'd beef up their pets section a little more, with people trying to see pets or whatever. for cbus anyway it's just a bunch of people who want dogs. I did see someone was giving away a tarantula and 2 geckos though and got a small laugh out of that. gross!

hell yeah craigslist is the shiz-nizzy. I found the place where I live in Vegas, I found the luggage I used to move here. I've been looking for cars or bikes on there. Hell it's so good I might have to check out the personal ads... find a nice girl that likes to travel.

I do agree with Craigslist being a great site as far as buying or getting rid of stuff, finding apartments, etc. you do have to be careful when using sites such as this.
I just saw a video on the news about a girl being murdered when she was going on an interview about a nanny job she found on Craigslist. Not saying that everyone out there is a murderer or anything, but precautions should be taken!

Yeah my wife posted on there to be a tutor. The only responses we got were scams. We even got that money order scam too. What idiots...
I'm not the biggest fan of craigslist anymore.

Craigslist has been great to me. I found my job there, my last car, my current apartment (well, it also happens that my roomie is a friend of a friend, by coincidence), and I've sold off tons of stuff for quick cash.
However, it has become dodgy lately - just watch out who you do business with!
Oh, it's also good for finding short term apartments in other countries (try the vacation rentals section) if you want to go a bit more upscale than a hostel but can't afford a fancy schmancy hotel!

Of course if you are looking for a rental in the Dominican Republic you would come to ME, not the rentals section in Craigslist right Omi??

I've met a bunch of people through craigslist, its a great way to find people with common interests that are local to you. I don't think that one person getting killed is a big deal.
Seems like craigslist has a lot of work to do to get caught up with myspace and facebook on the sicko front and most people use those sites

Craigslist is just like the newspaper's classifieds section. Its not any more or less dangerous than any other form of meeting with people. Shit happens, anywhere, in various methods. I wouldn't frown on Craigslist for that incident, I wish the media would stop focusing on that.

I haven't heard about the craigslist killer. But I agree... precautions are always necesary. I could get killed meeting someone at work, or a bar, or anywhere. I could get killed not meeting anyone, perhaps meeting the hood of a Ford Explorer. Now, I probably won't go to a whore house looking for a wife or play Russian Roulette to find out if I should live past tonight. But I wouldn't be scared to meet someone off craigslist... hell I've met total strangers off this website... even traveled hundreds of miles to meet them. THAT should be considered crazy.

Ya. I guess that "one person" getting killed isn't a big deal. Her mother and father will probably get over it in time right?? C'mon.

1 person out of the millions that use Craig's list is statistically irrelevant. Not irrelevant to that particular individual, but as far as risk goes its pretty negligible. Just use your brain and take some precautions.

I don't see people raising a fuss about newspapers when someone gets harmed by people they met in classified ads. Same thing. Its also the bar's fault when something goes wrong with a person you met in there too, right?

I don't think he meant it like that. But on the path of life in the world, people will get killed for one reason or another. From a statistical point 1 person doesn't send up a red flag as a reason to avoid craigslist. (not that I am trying to jump your sh1t.)
