Long story short- a good friend of mine who I haven't talked to quite some time found me through myspace (bless that website for this) and we are planning on meeting somewhere inthe middle of where we both live. I live in Pennsylvania and she lives in Missouri, and she seems to like the idea of going to Columbus, Ohio to stay.
I'm looking at hotels and possible hostels in the town, does anyone have any suggestions? I've been to the city twice before for kickboxing but my travel and visitation was limited.
Any other ideas for a different place to meet that would be in the middle of these two states?
Do you particularly want to see anything, or just meet up and have an adventure? If you want to see stuff, then I suppose a big city is the logical option, but if you're both just game for a random adventure, why not stick a pin in a map of the midwest? This works best if you both have your own transport, though.
Other random thought, pick someplace on the Amtrak route, and both take the train there.
