Ok so if you have read anything I have written about my self Im an entrepaneur. I have a business back home, some houses and duplexes. My next adventure is going to be a clothing brand with one of my friends. I need your guys sugestions for a name, becasue we fight over the name daily, also me and him are both avid travlers. I was talking to him about his gret website and I think he may have or has joined. We where talking today and where thinking one series of desighns would have plain one or two colored desighns on the rib section of the shirt (like a rib piece tatoo) for a series of countries. Maybe some words by the collar or something???? I dont know? EX. like cherry blossom for Japan and maybe the country out line on some of the shirts. We also do a lot of photography and wanted to do black and white pictures of people from a side angle (no ackground) in the same fasion, EX. my profile pic, yet black and white without the bathroom scene and shitty $1 store shower curtain behind it. ANY SUGESTIONS WOULD BE GREAT. We want our collection to be artsie yet plain that all people will enjoy. please respond and any Ideas that we take will get something out of it, I dont know what yet since it maybe a couple of months before we actually start production, due to machines we need to buy and all the desighn and finding the right company to get our blank shirts and tags from. Also what kind of shirts do you guys like the this ones, or thick, tight in the mid section or what, you know I guess what fit? I have to many things running through my head right now sorry and thanks

A T-punk logo on the rear. I liked the ideas you had for the Japan shirt. Text of personal anecdotes from your travels or someone else's in a country may work well.

I would proubly use a T-punk logo but well I dont own T-punk and I couldnt really do that, unless asked by owner to make a series of T-punk shirts. Quotes from travelers on the shirts would be a great Idea. We are looking to be making at least 8-10 diff desighns for the travel shirts. Other shirts will be various other desighns we come up with. Like the black and white photo type shirt. We will also have personlized shirts, but that can get expensive to to the fact you have to use different screens and ink for each personal shirt. Hopefully soon I will have exaplem for you guys of the style that are shirts will start with. Also Carrying bags, but do to the fact I nor my friend know how to make them, Im kinda screwed........

i've always liked tourist shirts that don't say the country's name on them, but are distinctive of the country anyway. make a mood board for each country, collect as many photos, postcards, stickers, ticket stubs, anything from that country and stick em all up on one big wall. put some quotes, stories and articles up there too. use this for your inspiration and work out a colour scheme, it doesnt always have to be the colour of the flag.. what colours are appearing most in the photos? what colour do the sporting teams wear? use the motifs that appear on your mood board to help you design. come up with a whole bunch of different designs and try to get as many opinions on them as possible (eg ours!) then develop them from there... make sure you get lots of input along the way and try to stay away from the obvious... for example a canada tshirt doesnt always have to have a maple leaf on it! shock horror! hope this helps

I just finished scetching up a design, I drew an out line of Japan along with the islands, and tooka picture of my friend walking with his backpack (black and white) on and cut just the out line of him out and put him beside the island to the left with his back leg going through the bottom of the country, his hand is up and I pasted a train ticket from when I lived in Tokyo on it, its almost half the size of him, I think it looks really cool, then I put the words "where I wanna be" along the east side of the Japan. I hope you can picture it in your head. The whole thing will be under the left arm covering the rib area, I really like it so far........ oh and we dicided the colors where going to be for my friends girl friend (so I guess this ones a girls shirt)

Colors
shirt- green
Japan- pink
picture-black and white
lettering white
ticket- orngish and black letters

Now that is a great idea. You should make the entire range along the lines of "where I wanna be" or so, so people can physically show the countries they want to go, and also kind of carry their dreams around with them. Thus putting positive energy into their goals to help them come into fruition, or some other marketting jargon like that!

Thats exactly what we are going for with this line, all the shirts will say "where I wanna be" along the countries outline. Im actually working on one for Oz right now. Its kinda hard for me becasue I have never been there and I want something unique on there.

We have been trying to get this clothing line thing going for a long time, but we havent had the time and never can agree on the style we want. Now its finally coming together, plus the whole operation cost a pretty penny since my friend is actually making the shirts with our own screen print and computer programs, which wasnt cheep at all. Thank you guys for the Ideas.:D

start threads here on each continent, ask people to post images, anecdotes, stories etc. try and get travellers and locals on it - youll get a greater feel for a place you havent been that way. good luck, it sounds wicked!
