What is your favourite European candy/treat?
I was just wondering what some of you enjoy. Maybe I'll try it next time!
There's this 'European delicacies' store near my home that sells tasty Eastern Euro candies. Also I thoroughly enjoy Lucozade from Britain. Anyone know of good places to purchase larger quantities...online? |
O yes! Forgot about Kindereggs. The're good and really unique.
|
They sell kinder eggs in Canada... Dunno, if they're the same... Anyway... I like them for the toys.:D
|
We've had Kinder eggs in Argentina since I was in Middle School. LOL... I guess I'm just too used to it.
I once tried from Norway Freia's Melkesjokolade, in other words: "chocolate milk". (I bought it in Epcot Center 'cause my then Norwegian boyfriend recommended it). I thought it was excellent! |
when we were in russia, our guide was obsessed with this restaurant, MYMY(pronounced moo-moo). They gave you a little piece of chewy caramel at the cash register... we would try and steal other people's caramels from their trays, they were so good. the stupid people that gave them out wouldnt let us buy them... wierd.

Canburys cream eggs are loverly but they only come out at easter. Irish potato crisps are nice, Hunky dory and Tayto are the best.

German girls ;)

Florencia: When I was in Norway, I picked a bar up just to try something different. Turned out to be the best chocolate ever! I think it was cheaper than Hershey's too! So I go to EPCOT and walk into the Norway giftshop and ask if by chance, they sell Freia. I think I jumped 5 feet in the air when they inhaled quickly (that is how Scandinavians say yes)

failing german girls,
the huge ass gummi bears mmmmm |
I love those churros from Spain that you dip in hot chocolate.
|
Kinder Eggs are da bomb! they have em in Canada, as well - the toys are pretty cool. Putting them together is half the fun!...
I wonder if they're the same anymore, though, 'cause the ones I used to get had more parts, and were more challenging to put together. Churros are pretty decent (my daughter likes them more than I do, so we make our own), but when I'm in Mexico, I usually go for those suckers with the fruit and hot chili in them... |
oh no i completely forgot about stroopwaffles! its a dutch thing - basically like two round pieces of waffle cone with caramel squished in the middle. heat em up a bit and the caramel goes soft. yummmm... i'd never tried them until i went to amsterdam but then i found them in london and in a lolly shop in melbourne as well. they're so good.

ritters sport chocolate.
discovered it in amsterdam one night, it's awesome. you can get it canada now too. |
