I always like to use up excess British currency on the Cadbury chocolate machines in the tube. Especially after a few pints have been consumed, which is virtually always the case if I am in the tube.

Those Conguitos wrappers crack me up. I love how un-PC the rest of the world is! To be fair, they have white Conguitos, too, if you like that filthy stuff they call "white chocolate."

I like things like Quality Streets that we get at Christmas. Do places other than the UK get those? They're such a Christmassy sweet!

So I remember now why I never had the Kinder Egg. I picked it up yesterday, as that was my mission for the day, and shook it around. It was hollow with a toy inside. I'm not a big fan of hollowed chocolate, so once again, I passed and scrafed down a mini bucket of conguitos! hahaha...
What is it about the tube that made me do the same thing, Jamie? All the chocolate that I ate in London came directly from the machines at the tube !

You are missing out by not having Quality Streets. They come in a box, or you can get a huge tin (which is pretty much a national tradition at Christmas, I'm sure of it), and it's an assortment of different chocolates and sweets, like a strawberry fondant, orange fondant, toffee penny, sticks of toffee covered in chocolate, hazlenut in caramel with chocolate around it, um... praline chocolate, caramel cup, fudge...
Oh my, I got all worked up!

Dude, you're not supposed to eat anything out of the machines in the Tube... like, ever! Total tourist move I suspect it has something to do with the fact that no one else ever eats out of there, so everything's old.

They sometimes have Quality Street packs at Cost Plus World Market. In fact, I saw 'em just this past weekend! Almost picked some up but didn't, and now Lauren's making me regret that...

Are you kidding? Usually its hard to find a machine that has anything in it. Usually the machines have 6 or so different types of Cadbury bars. Often, half of them are empty. We almost missed a train one time because my drunk buddy refused to get on the train until he got a candy bar. You had to try each variety, put your money in, hit the button, then it would tell you it was empty and your money would come back out. Then you had to try again. I think only one variety had stock left. I always see lots of people getting chocolate. Don't be such a damn snob....

Ageed. While in France, with my ex (she's from south of France, but now in Paris), she got me hooked on dark chocolate with like 70% cocoa
So, our daily diet was red wine, dark chocolate, cheese, jamon, and baguettes.
Scrumptiously delicious

I dunno. My first two tries at the tube vending machine, I got a stale Kit Kat and a Cadbury where the chocolate was starting to separatae. Maybe I should try the busier tube stations, eh?

there are two large vanilla cookies with marshmallow fluff between them, dipped in really thick really thick chocolate type stuff.
they are really dense and great for propping open doors and beating kids
