Ok, so I was in San Fran last week with my girlfriend, we were slowly making our way to LA where she had to catch a flight back to Brazil. We had been sleeping in my van all night and when the sun came up we decided to visit the beach for some pictures before finding a hotel room to freshin up. I pulled into Beach Park and noticed a nice spot behind another car right in the front, it was perfect.

Now let me explain something... I was being a bit risky considering I was driving on an expired DL

Ok I'll be honest, it is expired because it was suspended

and I cant get a new one.

So Samila (my girlfriend) had no idea how bad things were about to get. Upon returning to the van from the spot we were taking pictures I noticed that I was parked in a red, but I couldnt see it from the side, the saltwater had rubbed it off and it could only be seen from the top. Sure enough, as I closed the door in a frantic rush to move it, the officers driving past us looked me right in the eye as they exited the vehicle and asked me to get out. Samila thought I would get a quick ticket and be on our way. What she didnt know is that I was explaining that I was on an expired and suspendid DL. The cop was an asshole and let me know that as soon as they confirmed what I said, they would be arresting me and taking the van WITH EVERYTHING INSIDE IT including all of Samilas luggage, tickets etc. And she would be lost and completely clueless as to what to do, she didnt even know where she was, it was a nightmare. After a few minutes they get a response saying that the offense took place more than 3 years ago making it fall off my record

and I was simply driving on an expired. They then took my keys and handed them to Samila after they confirmed she had a DL from Brazil, and told us to be safe

OMG! When we got to the hotel we had great celebration sex

and then proceeded to act like tourist, visiting alcatraz and fishermans wharf.

I guess my advice is... its cool to travel rambo style

but dont be stupid, it can make a beautiful day dark in a hurry

you naughty naughty boy. Your poor girl. She must have been freaking out! Hopefully the sex was good, so she at least got something good out of the deal. So now you can get another license or what? And Mr. TUI what exactly did you do three years ago.....hmmmmm.

Yes I can now get a DL

It wasnt anything big, I was only going 90 mph in a 65 zone in Cali, however I moved to New Zealand shortly thereafter and so I never recieved the letter telling me to go to court, so I got hit with a "failure to appear"

Everything is working out though

you should have seen her trying to drive my van

, she is used to a stick shift, VW Golf, a very small car. She never drove an automatic before and it was rush hour in west San Fran. Good Times

Ah... good ol court systems of the US. Definately wouldn't let you off because you were out of town and didn't get the notice. I had a city lose my ticket, but still remembered to tell the state to suspend my license for not paying it. I had a good time ripping them a new one, when I went down to the court. Amazingly though it only took them 5 minutes to find my payment after that. hmmm... damned crooked thieves.

well i think it shows that your not afaid 2 goto any length 2 help and support your g/f............i mean the trip 2 the airport was 4 her???????? that one u can chuck up 2 experience--------(2 me the moral was) -never i mean,never park in a red zone without a license...........ha,ha everyones done something stupid, wrong place, wrong time

I had a warrant issued for my arrest in the state of Iowa

The offense: 70 in a 55. (In the middle of nowhere)

Mailed in the ticket and the fine.

A month later I got a notice in the mail that a warrant had been issued for my arrest.

The reason: An unpaid fine.
The balance: $0.01

Penny for your freedom?

Luckily a xerox copy of the ticket along with my check stub straightened out that one. Typos suck.

holy crap. what dumbasses. That would have been funny if they actually arrested you and found out later that it was only for one penny.
