Spent the last two months looking around this site, and a few others. My eyes hurt, im tired... but this place is really starting to feel like home.
Hey, bought my backpack today, only took me 4 weeks to find the right one for me.
Looking forward to getting into the day to day chat with all you guys, all of whom from what i have read know so much about, yet dont really know at all.

now fixxera your next job now that you have your backpack is practice with it. Add about 50bls to it, and walk with it around the house for a little while. that way you get an idea on how it is going to feel throught your trip.

Im going to go out to a mates place and walk round his farm with it on tommorrrow morning with a bit of weight in it. Plus, im going to need to work out where all the pockets are, and how to adjust all these bloody straps...

And then, when you're planning your trip, try to find a way to check into a place for several days and take day trips out from there. That way you don't have to walk all over the world with the damn thing on your back! (In which case, you'll need a smaller, day pack or shoulder bag). Besides, it's neat to spend at least a few days in the same place...get into the rhythmn...feel like a local...
