I went camping on some beach near Squamish Valley after I got a 2 hour notice from my friend. Left at 11:30 pm and finally got there at 2am after getting lost in the dark in a place that looked like middle of nowhere. It was fun tho... i got to drive an ATV and got it stuck over a log :D now i think it takes some special talent to get an ATV stuck also ran into a few other friends randomly at the same site...what are the odds!! no pictures tho, i totally forgot

MG the small ones, those are just mickeys. But a Texas Mickey, well thats quite another thing altogether. Whether you call it a Texas Mickey or a Handle, that shit holds a lot of liquor.

Man, most of the Saskatoon bars had their popular nights where drinks were $2.25 or $2.50. $2.25 is the statutory MINIMUM you could charge for a drink! So, with the drinks being rather cheap, there was a LOT of drinking going on, that much I know (since I participated heartily). As I'm sure Jen05 and others can attest, there's not all that much more to do in the prairie provinces BUT drink ALL THE TIME (while doing other fun activities, of course, such as fishing, boating on the lake, camping, etc). I think the prairie provinces can give any others a run for their money in alcohol consumption

For the reference of those unfamiliar with the terms to describe measurements of liquor...
250 mL = Flask
375 mL = Mickey
750 mL = Fifth (US) / 2-6 or 26er (Canada)
1.12 L = 40 (Canada)
1.75 mL = Handle (US) / Texas Mickey (Canada)
(the other obvious measures are a half-litre and litre)

Can you tell I'm an alcoholic?

Yeah, I'll drink to that! So true...although for the May long all provincial parks in MB banned drinking in campgrounds! Was that anywhere else? I was stuck (drinking) in the city, but c'mon! It's a matter of our livlihood here!

East coast think they they're the hard drinkers? Matthew, if you're ever back in the Prairies we'll prove them wrong!

LOL I love the reaction you get from people when you question their alcohol comsuming ability.
The drinkers are hard all over Canada but I will not try to take the hardest drinkers title from the Newfies. Everyone knows the Newfs out-do everyone in alcohol comsumption. It's like milk to them. Must be the Irish heritage.
